For nearly forty years, Dr. Mike Sagman maintained a private practice in Newport News, Virginia. His practice has maintained a special focus on restorative and cosmetic dentistry as well as prosthetic reconstruction.
An avid music lover, Dr. Mike Sagman frequently attends live performances and supports nonprofit music organizations. Between 2001 and 2014, he served on the Board of Trustees of the Williamsburg Music Association (WMA).
Since its establishment in 1987, the WMA has continued to stage a wide variety of musical performances for the education and entertainment of its audiences. The organization comprises two orchestras — the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra and the Williamsburg Youth Orchestras. The WMA also maintains a volunteer arm, the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra League.
The Orchestra League regularly conducts fundraising activities to support the WMA’s activities. Last April, its members organized “A Broadway Bash,” a benefit concert aimed at raising funds for usher compensation, guest artist transportation, and other orchestra expenses.
Broadway star, Tiffany Haas, a Virginia native, headlined the concert. Between songs, she recounted her journey from realizing her passion for music at a young age to landing the coveted role of Glinda in the Broadway production of Wicked. Her appearance came on the heels of two other concerts by world-renowned pianist Alessio Bax, who also performed for the WMA that same week.
